Sunday Worship Gatherings
5:00 - 6:00 PM 

Our Sunday night Worship Gatherings follow a rhythm. For four weeks we delve deeply into a topic or practice. 

First Sunday: Instructional Service. This is a time of teaching including scripture reading, historical information and relevant contextual issues and philosophical arguments.

Second Sunday: Testimonial Service. The experience and questions of the congregation is explored through individual sharing, group discussion and interactive and creative methods. 

Third Sunday: Meditative Service. Time is devoted to deep prayer and contemplation on the topic of the month, scripture and prayer concerns of our community. This service culminates in sharing Communion together.
 

Fourth Sunday: Call to Action Service. Explore the ways that the truths we have discovered and affirmed play out in our lives and community.

What Are Worship Gatherings?

 

At 5:00 pm on Sunday nights we meet  for worship, prayer and Bible study. As we grow this community of faith we believe it is important to take time to ask deep questions and listen for answers. Questions as fundamental as "why gather together for worship at all?" and "what does it mean to worship God in the first place?" 

 

This group on Sunday nights is designed for people who are intentional about their faith and about the formation of the Convergence community on a larger scale. All are welcome to join us for this service, prayer time and fellowship after. In addition to the format above, people are encouraged to participate in planning through songs, poems, drama, drawings, etc. to share or create with the group. Childcare for infants and toddlers is not provided at this time, but children are loved, welcomed, and encouraged to attend the gathering with adults. Come as you are.

 

 

Where is This?  The Lab


We fluxuate our meeting space depending on the flow of the evening's service. You will find us in the main sanctuary building at 1801 N. Quaker Lane in the Sanctuary or the Gallery. On other nights we meet in the LAB across the street at 1819 N. Quaker Lane. We will have signs posted and friendly faces to guide you to the right place.
